SoapRocks® forms are variations of our Large-Sized, Pyramid Shape, Angled Bar Shape, Crystal Shape, each weighing over 6 Ounces. SoapRocklets™ forms are variations of our Medium-Sized, Pyramid Shape and Angled Bar Shape, each weighing over 4 Ounces. It is important to note, the Gemstone SoapRocks® and SoapRocklets™ that you receive, are unique! Each is hand hewn, and requires over 180 steps to complete, thus colors and shapes may vary from piece-to-piece. Thought some may appear to be slightly larger or smaller depending upon their sculptural variations, all are at least 6 ounces. The beauty is that no two SoapRocks® or SoapRocklets™ are exactly alike. Each SoapRock is truly One-Of-A-Kind!.
ABOUT SOAPROCKS® THREE PRIMARY SHAPES:
During the evolution of SoapRocks®, certain varieties seemed best expressed in particular shapes, which then became that variety's primary form. During the process of creating each of the SoapRocks® by hand in over 180 steps, some of the individual pieces assume slight variations from the primary forms. Please see the image of many of the Shapes and Sizes Variations. Also note: certain shapes may look slightly larger or smaller than others, but each SoapRock® will be at 6+ ounces, and each SoapRocklet™, at least 4+ ounces.SoapRocks® Size and Shape variations.
Our original versions followed the mineralogy closely, and often matched the actual crystal habit of many of nature's minerals. Over time, we found that we needed to arrive at a balance between, reflecting the minerals' true appearances, and accommodating the need for the ease of use of the soap while washing. Ultimately, SoapRocks® have evolved, with some artistic license, into the many shapes you now find in our work. Often the shapes suggest actual crystals in nature yet they are truly sculptural.
